Cinnamon Cassia is one of the first spices recorded in human history. Its use can be traced back to 2700 BC in China. The ancients of Egypt, Persia, Greece and Rome all used cinnamon in their cuisines. Cinnamon comes from an evergreen tree in the Laurel Family that bears aromatic green leaves used by local people in porridges and drinks. It is the sweet, astringent and highly aromatic grades of the tree bark that is harvested , sun-dried, cut, graded and traded as the cinnamon we all know and love.

Love this tea, it has an amazing flavor, unfortunately it is out of stock now. I’m hoping they will bring it back soon.

For having "Cinnamon" in the name, I expected a much heavier cinnamon flavor so that was disappointing. That being said, the tea is tasty and I enjoyed it. It's just more ginger forward. I should have paid attention to the order of the ingredients! It does have ginger listed as the first one.

This tea provides a wonderful start to my day. It is the perfect caffeine free alternative to coffee. I drink mine with a little honey and a splash of milk. Delicious.
