Kagoshima Prefecture is located at the southwest tip of Kyushu (the third largest island of Japan) and is largely mountainous and home to important lumber, fishing and agriculture industries. Much like the rest of Japan, this region has well manicured tea gardens with well-developed irrigation, and farmers follow strict growing procedures to produce this perfect tea bush shape and size.

Only got the teaser packet of this. But it is teasing me. So I'll have to get a larger quantity to see if this will become a mainstay.

This tea taught me apparently my favorite green tea is bancha. Slight umami flavor, mild, and not bitter at all.

I got this tea as a sample. RISHI is usually sending me samples that I already have. Then they sent me this one. It is the perfect green tea! I love their Earl Green and have tried others that are more bitter than I care for; this one tops them all. I bought a bunch and look forward to it coming in the mail. I plan to drink it after breakfast and lunch and before working out every day. It is the perfect green tea.

This Bancha is a good value if you know how to brew it correctly otherwise you'll end up with bitter tea. Try using cooler water, less leaf, and a 3 minute max steep time. That way it'll surprise you with subtle grassy/sea weed umami and mild pineapple sweetness in the aftertaste for multiple infusions.

My favorite everyday green tea. Minimal bitterness and not quite as strong as sencha.
