The beautiful tactile experience of preparing matcha with a real hand-made whisk helps one connect even more to being present in your tea moment. The fine craftsmanship allows us to perceive the subtle vibrations and motion of tea and water coming together to produce a luxurious foam.
Carefully handcrafted to be flexible and resistant to breakage, the Premium Shin Chasen is an artisanal bamboo whisk made without the use of any chemicals. The bamboo is first kept in a warehouse for more than two years to remove all moisture. This process is completely natural and occurs before any processing.

Best Storage Practices:
This chasen is sensitive to artificial temperature changes, including air conditioning. We recommend storing it in a place away from direct airflow.
Avoid pressing the chasen against the bottom of a tea bowl, as the tips are delicate. Gentle care will help extend the longevity of this handcrafted piece. This chasen is not dishwasher safe. After use, rinse the whisk with hot water and allow it to dry naturally before storing it in a dry area, away from direct sunlight, high humidity and extreme temperatures. The recommended humidity level for storage is between 40% and 80%.
