About this tea
Pink Lemon Ginger is a special twist on the classic combination of lemon and ginger. Red shiso, a refreshing herb that is part of the mint family, is the star of the show. Grown in Japan and known through East Asia as a culinary herb, red shiso has a tangy and fruity taste, with a sweet and resinous aroma. It is used traditionally in the pickling of plums to create umeboshi and in a variety of seasonings for sushi and rice dishes. Lemon helps to pull the reddish-purple pigments out of the red shiso leaf, creating an overall pink infusion color in this deliciously warming and soothing botanical blend. A hint of pink rose petals adds luster and perfectly complements the zesty aromas of ginger and red shiso.

Origin: Ginger
Mizoram
India
Our ginger is noted to be spicy, pungent, citrusy and complex. Not all ginger is the same and we source ginger from a variety of countries to make our signature and fragrant ginger based blends. Ginger from Mizoram and Nagaland are intercropped with ghost peppers and known for their heat and complex aromas. Unlike most ginger that is mildly spicy and lemony we select and import medicinal grades of ginger tat the peak maturity that exude complex aromas of eucalyptus, pungent ginger spice and punchy citrus. Based on the many ginger based Rishi blends , we blend a different ratio of single origin gingers for desired effect.
