Cinnamon Cassia is one of the first spices recorded in human history. Its use can be traced back to 2700 BC in China. The ancients of Egypt, Persia, Greece and Rome all used cinnamon in their cuisines. Cinnamon comes from an evergreen tree in the Laurel Family that bears aromatic green leaves used by local people in porridges and drinks. It is the sweet, astringent and highly aromatic grades of the tree bark that is harvested , sun-dried, cut, graded and traded as the cinnamon we all know and love.

This tea provides a wonderful start to my day. It is the perfect caffeine free alternative to coffee. I drink mine with a little honey and a splash of milk. Delicious.

This tea is sumptuous. I love the smell and the taste! I had ordered chai teas from another place that required using a saucepan, boiling their tea for a certain number of minutes, then adding milk and sugar, etc. this I brew in the cup—so simple, so tasty.

I love Cinnamon and I've tried other cinnamon teas before and for some reason they upset my stomach - so I was a bit hesitant to try this one, but I did and I'm sure glad I did. You won't be disappointed.
