Wa Shan Ecological Tea Garden sits in Lincang, on the border with Myanmar (Burma) in southwestern Yunnan. Surrounded by a lush and biodiverse mountainous region, this certified organic tea farm is one we have been working with since 2013. Wa Shan is a famous tea mountain since ancient times named after the Wa ethnic minority who have farmed tea in this region for more than a thousand years.

Not sure what's going on with the current supply they are shipping. Lacks body, lacks the maltiness, just all tannic.
I have to raise the temp because the rishi specs are terrible. Watery mess with no body.
Weird as I've had great batches in the past. Buyer beware.
Was this helpful?Rishi Tea & Botanicals1 week agoHi Jon! We're so sorry to hear that the current batch of China Breakfast didn't deliver the full-bodied, malty experience, especially when you've had great experiences with previous batches. We understand how frustrating it can be when a tea lacks the character and depth you're looking for, and we regret that this batch came across as overly tannic. Our Customer Service Team has reached out to learn more. We're grateful to share tea with you!

A go-to morning tea. Bold and bright and I look forward to the morning knowing this cup is waiting for me!

I first tasted this tea at a restaurant and loved it so much I asked to see the bag and ordered it online. This is a robust tea with many delicate components that make you leave out the milk and sugar so you can taste them all. It's my new favorite black tea!

I don't know what happened but this batch sucks. Lacks any body or maltiness. Following rishi specs it's light and tannic. Will have to experiment with my own specs.
