The Best
Rishi's sencha is my all time favorite tea! I drink this every morning, extracting 2 delicious steepings
...
out of each serving. The flavor is vegetal, bright, and satisfying, without a bitter aftertaste. Perfectly balanced. I have tried many green teas, but now stick with this one and don't tire of it.

Not as good as the last batch.
Always pay attention to review dates for current tea batches. This Organic Sencha falls flat. Very light
...
almost nonexistent sweet grassy notes. I am as picky as a person gets. I have some Organic Sencha from the last batch I purchased in 2017 that was much better. Something that old that is in a tea tin and I literally compared it to what I just got in 2019 and it was much better. The best green tea I have ever had in my opinion was Kirishima Mountain Shincha Green Tea that I got in 2014 from Rishi. I purchased several bags, and only open one at a time, keeping the rest of the sealed bags in other ziplock bags, boxed in a closet. Had a cup of it yesterday and the taste was as good as the day I got it. I have been opening new bags once a year. The second infusion as good as the first. Never had that in a green tea before. I sometimes feel Rishi is at a loss for spectular teas, and because of this they settle. Unfortunately the failures are expensive for me. I take no pleasure in leaving negative reviews. However any good company will want to hear what the customers have to say.

Great way to start the day!
Though extravagant for an everyday morning tea, my husband cannot start the day without drinking a large
...
pot of Rishi's Japanese Sencha. This tea has a rich mouth feel, a verdant green hue and delivers a delectable vegetal palate.

Refreshing and brisk with a pleasant bitter-sweetness, deep umami flavor and a greenish-golden infusion color
Fresh, grassy high notes with a smooth body, savory flavor and crisp finish
