The Bergamot Orange is a special variety of intensely tart, aromatic and bitter citrus that grows in Calabria, Italy. It has a one of a kind aroma and is harvested for its essential oil which is cold pressed in an ancient and natural way. The essential oils are used in confections, liquors, ice creams, medications to control cholesterol, sodas, tonic waters, perfumes and cosmetics. Most notably, Bergamot Citrus is the key ingredient of Earl Grey Tea. Rishi Earl Grey only uses the pure, cold pressed essential oil from Italian Bergamot and unlike other Earl Grey teas in the market , we never use flavors, extracts or imitations.

I first tasted the London Fog concentrate when my daughter introduced me to Colectivo’s London Fog drink. I found many excuses to pick up the drink as a treat when I was out and about. Then I found out they used the Rishi concentrate about the same time that they switched their London Fog recipe and I just had to start ordering and making my own drinks. I use this as my morning caffeine boost by mixing the concentrate with almond milk and vanilla syrup. It is so delicious and I look forward to it every morning.

Sweet and full of flavor. Pairs well with versatile mix-ins. My personal favorites are either vanilla or marshmallow syrups.

I’ve had this from many local coffee shops, and it’s definitely the best solution for an iced London fog! I ordered some for myself at home for the summer and will order more and recommend to my friends. However, there is a lot of added sugar, and it’s too sweet for a daily drink. I usually add just a sugar cube to my hot tea in the morning, which is 4-5 times less sugar than in one serving of this. I’d love if they made a low sugar version!
