seem super tight. With these you can feel the air being forced out as the inner and outer lid are perfectly fit to the tin keeping your tea fresh. I am not sure why some are saying it is too small. I have 4 of these and they fit 100g of Shincha, Gyokoru, and other Japanese Greens perfectly.

Perfect for Me
Many reviewers claim these tins are small, which they are but if you only drink Japanese sencha, like

me, then this is perfect because it will fit close to 100 g. I usually put only 70-80g of sencha inside and leave the last 20g in original package till my reorder from Rishi arrives at my door. I like that extra lid inside the tin which makes it the best airtight container I own which is essential for keeping Japanese tea fresh since they can deteriorate rapidly. I own at leasr 6 of these through the years and highly recommend them, especially for Japanese tea.

a 100g bag of Oolong I also bought from Rishi and it can fit maybe half the tea. Worth it for small amounts of tea, but beware if you intend to store more than about 50g.
