Nakanishi-San is a renowned tea producer who cultivates tea along the Uji River which is an original and historic tea growing region of Kyoto, Japan. Teas from this area tend to emphasize depth and resonance of flavor. The richness of umami with savory and sweet flavors akin to kombu, snap pea, hijiki and mushroom-dashi are a real highlight. The lower elevation tea gardens along the Uji River have warmer soil, which are favored when producing shade-grown teas like tencha and gyokuro. Nakanishi-San’s farm is over 300 years old and is JAS certified and organic accredited for more than 30 years. The farm is known for stellar soil management and organic cultivation techniques that result in one of the world’s best organic sources of authentic, ceremonial matcha. This matcha features a vibrant blue-green color and is beautifully complex.

It has rebuilt collagen in my face it's made me look so much younger its the absolute best matcha... I've ever tried.
The Highest Quality Matcha, Nakanishi San's Uji Matcha
This is the best matcha I've ever had. It is the brightest green matcha I've ever seen and it... has an almost blue-green color to it. I've purchased it four times and every time I'm just in shock by the color. I've had many expensive matchas over the years and this one is in a category of it's own. I taste umami, cream, and cocoa notes. It's a highly palatable matcha, while also maintaining great complexity. I hope Rishi carries this one for years to come - absolutely excellent!
