Relax with the calming aromas and soothing flavors of our chamomile teas. Caffeine-free and with a slight sweetness, these teas are excellent for any time of day or night. Unwind before bed with a hot cup, or cold steep your chamomile tea bags overnight for a bright and floral iced tea! We feature chamomile in many of our tea blends for its excellent flavor and smooth drinking texture, offering a delicate but balanced base for certain herbal tea blends and Sparkling Botanicals. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, chamomile tea is easy to love.

How to Brew Chamomile Teas

Whether you’re brewing an organic loose leaf variety of chamomile tea, or brewing from a tea bag, the brewing process for this tea is rather similar. We suggest brewing 1.5 tablespoons of tea (or one sachet) per 12 ounces of boiling water, steeping for about 5 minutes. Chamomile tea is a sturdy variety that can stand up to vigorous and strong brews, allowing for multiple steeps or long cold steeps.

FAQs

Chamomile tea should be stored like other loose leaf teas, in an opaque and waterproof tea tin. Excess heat, moisture, or sunlight can degrade the quality of tea.

Absolutely! Chamomile is an excellent tea to enjoy iced, with its sturdy constitution and lightly sweet flavor. Simply brew the tea slightly stronger and pour over ice, or cold-steep in water overnight. You could even make an iced chamomile latte with the milk of your choice.

No. Since chamomile tea is an herbal tea, rather than a tea made from Camellia sinensis it naturally contains no caffeine.

Chamomile is a flower native to regions all over the world, including Asia, Africa, Europe and even North America. At Rishi Tea, we source the highest grade organic chamomile in our teas from pristine forests in the lowland region of central Croatia, which yields flowers that are far more lusciously sweet and pure than the more common Egyptian chamomile.
