Spicy Chaider Caramel Sauce

This rich caramel sauce incorporates apple cider and Spicy Masala Chai tea to create a sumptuous addition to any dessert.

Molten caramel with clove-kissed chai and a hint of fiery warmth, wrapping you in cozy sweetness

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Rishi Spicy Masala Chai black tea blend
  • 12 oz apple cider
  • 8 oz light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 oz unsalted butter, cubed, room temperature
  • 4 oz heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Preparation

  1. Combine apple cider and Rishi Spicy Masala Chai black tea blend in a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepot over medium heat. Just before the liquid simmers, turn off the heat and cover; infuse for 6 minutes. Strain fully; discard tea solids.
  2. Return infused cider to saucepot. Cook over medium heat, while stirring occasionally, until the mixture cooks down and reduces in volume to about 6 ounces.
  3. Stir in unsalted butter and cream. Continue to cook for 10 minutes until the caramel thickens and darkens in color. Remove from heat; stir in salt.
