About This Tea

Pu’er tea has a firm and refreshing taste with a digestive and stimulating energy. Pu’er tea is often blended with stimulating spices, citrus peels, aromatic flowers and herbs. Roses and hawthorn fruits are classic and complimentary ingredients blended with Pu’er tea. Hawthorn fruits are a traditional sweet and sour snack in Hong Kong where they are considered to be good for digestion and reducing the effects of oily foods. We combine tangy hawthorn fruits and fragrant red roses from Yunnan with our 5-year aged Shu Pu’er. This blend has a refined and deeply infused red rose aroma with sweet and satisfyingly sour flavors of hawthorn fruits that are well balanced with the deep taste of our organic Shu Pu’er Tea. This tea is great with all types of foods.

Wa Shan Ecological Tea Garden sits in Lincang, on the border with Myanmar (Burma) in southwestern Yunnan. Surrounded by a lush and biodiverse mountainous region, this certified organic tea farm is one we have been working with since 2013. Wa Shan is a famous tea mountain since ancient times named after the Wa ethnic minority who have farmed tea in this region for more than a thousand years.
