Matcha Okumidori is made purely from a single tea cultivar, Okumidori (奥緑), which means “deep green.” Okumidori is celebrated for its very vibrant emerald, green color. Among the latest of the tea cultivars to be harvested in spring, Okumidori offers a balanced taste with a deep umami in perfect harmony with fresh aroma. This Organic, Ceremonial quality expression of Matcha Okumidori is produced in the beautiful Kirishima Mountain volcanic region of southern Japan.
