Ingredients
- 1 lb uncured thick-cut bacon
- 12 oz Rishi Masala or Chaga Chai Concentrate
Preparation
- Separate bacon strips into a zip-top bag
- Pour Chai Concentrate over the bacon
- Squeeze out air from bag while sealing securely; massage bag to ensure bacon is thoroughly coated
- Refrigerate overnight
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Drain off liquid in preparation for baking*
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange marinated bacon strips close together (but not overlapping) and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, until crisp and caramelized.
- Let cool and serv
Notes
*optional step: reserve drained liquid to ‘mop’ over bacon 1 to 2 times during the last 10 minutes of baking for added chai flavor.
