This tea has a nice bright green and good grassy flavor without the bitterness. In comparison to the Hon Yama Sencha I purchased at the same time, this one is much better. Be sure to follow correct water temp and steeping times because it is delicate.

Wow, what an excellent tea! I am so impressed. The color is a deep emerald green., creamy mouthfeel, rich umami. This tea is so close to a gyokuro that I bought it as an alternative when I don’t want to spend the extra money and I gotta say, it has turned out to be better than a lot of the gyokuros I buy on this site. Highly recommend this kabuse.
