About This Tea

Pu’er tea has a firm and refreshing taste. It is often blended with aged tangerine peels for a tasty digestive and enlivening brew. It is the perfect breakfast tea to wake up with and also good before and after meals. We sourced several lots of aged sweet red and aromatic green tangerine peels from Guangdong that range from 3 to 11 years old. We blended the peels with five-year aged Shu Pu’er from Lincang, Yunnan. Aged citrus peels are considered more beneficial and have a settled and harmonious nature when blended and aged with Pu’er tea. The sweet aroma of tangerine peels becomes smoothly integrated with the deep and rich taste of our organic Shu Pu’er tea during the aging process. This tea is full bodied while sweet, aromatic and slightly savory. It is deeply infused with the taste and fragrance of tangerine citrus.

Wa Shan Ecological Tea Garden sits in Lincang, on the border with Myanmar (Burma) in southwestern Yunnan. Surrounded by a lush and biodiverse mountainous region, this certified organic tea farm is one we have been working with since 2013. Wa Shan is a famous tea mountain since ancient times named after the Wa ethnic minority who have farmed tea in this region for more than a thousand years.
