Cultivar: Long Jing #43 Elevation: 750 - 800m Harvest: March 8-14 2020
This Dragon Well is comprised of tender buds and leaves harvested during the early spring Mingqian time, making for a rich, brothy and sweet infusion. Dragon Well is a well-known, Chinese 'tribute tea' once given in tribute to the emperor of the time. Made from the traditional cultivar called Long Jing #43 (literally, 'Dragon Well #43'), this micro-lot offers the classic Dragon Well character of pleasant grassiness with hints of pistachio and green banana.
Dragon Well is a pan-fired green tea that is produced by 'flat-frying' tea leaves in a hot pan until shaped into blades and dried. The heat and tossing action carried out in pan-firing tea leaves initiates the maillard reaction, resulting in a pleasant toasty aroma and nutty sweetness.

Incredible
This green tea is so satisfying. I was unsure about it due to it being labeled as having taking notes... of banana; however I found it tastes just like subtle sweet green grapes. So delicious I don't want to stop drinking it - hot or cold.
