Lotus Red is a uniquely wondrous experience for flower-scented tea enthusiasts. Tea and lotus hold special significance in the food and herb traditions of Vietnam. It is thought the practice began centuries ago in the northern region around the capital, historically known as Thang Long, or modern day Hanoi. Lotus scented tea is considered to be a highly sophisticated and refined drink enjoyed by kings, nobles and wealthy scholars. Lotus Red is crafted using the highest quality tea for scenting. To obtain the flowers,our partner floats rafts in ponds and lakes to cut and collect lotus flowers by hand. The stamens are removed and mixed amongst the tea leaves one batch at a time, producing a peaceful and uplifting aroma in the most sophisticated way.

Add 4g tea leaves to a Gaiwan or Gongfu Teapot (per 200ml) Water cooled to 195°F 1st infusion: 1 minute 2nd infusion: 30 seconds | 3rd: 1 minute | 4+ add 15 seconds per infusion
