Origin: Ramché, Nigalé, Bokré & Chulachuli Divisions, Jun Chiyabari, Hile, Nepal Cultivar: Phoobsering 312, Takdah 78, Takdah 668 and Bannockburn 157 Elevation: 1850m Harvest: April 4, 2021
Jun Chiyabari is located in Hile, a region nestled in the Himalayas in eastern Nepal, due south of Mt. Everest with stunning views of Kangchenjunga. Himalayan Spring is a lightly oxidized black tea, crafted by skillful withering, delicate Britannia rolling, and gentle oven baking. The cool, Springtime temperatures at high elevation in the Himalayas inhibits tea leaf oxidation, so while Himalayan Spring is technically a black tea you will notice the leaves are pear green in color. This style of tea is made only in spring and since 2011 our partners have captured the freshness, new life and youthfulness of the season with well-timed harvests and gentle handling, maximizing the fresh, flowery and fruity characters. Lot J9 possesses fresh florals including a distinct lily of the valley note, Lan Hua and a layered balance of challenging tannin, aroma and umami —a bright and lively Himalayan Spring at its best.

Nice aroma
It looks and tastes more like Oolong, instead of traditional black tea. It is light and has this citric... aroma. I got it on sale and am super happy with it.
